Cherry Cobbler Recipe with Almond Glaze
Cherry Cobbler with Almond Glaze is a really tasty dessert. I made it for John’s office a couple of weeks ago, and everyone loved it! There wasn’t any left!
I got this recipe from a friend, but I added the almond glaze on top. The recipe is like a layered casserole. First, you melt some butter. Then, you spoon a flour batter over the butter but don’t mix it. After that, you spoon a cherry layer on top of the batter, but don’t mix that either. It all mixes together while baking. After it's done, I added a yummy almond glaze on top.
Cherry Cobblers are popular in Texas, along with Peach Cobblers. I got a big box of fresh cherries from Washington state in 2019. They were the best cherries I ever had! I made ten desserts with them in just six days. This Cherry Cobbler was one of the last ones I made, and it turned out great!

Instructions:
For Cherry Cobbler:
Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. For Almond Glaze:
Combine powdered sugar, almond extract, and half-and-half in a small mixing bowl, whisk until smooth.Notes:
- If you use a thinner milk for the half-and-half in the glaze, you may need to decrease the amount, or the glaze will be too runny.
- Canned cherries can be used instead of fresh ones. Just rinse, drain, and pat them dry with paper towels before using.
